About Patty Smyth
Patty Smyth first gained fame as the singer for Scandal, who scored pop hits in the early-to-mid 1980s with "Goodbye to You" and "The Warrior," but the band split in 1985 after making just one EP and one album. Smyth made her solo debut in '87 with the album NEVER ENOUGH, which racked up a couple of minor hits, but her self-titled 1992 follow-up generated a Number Two smash in "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough," a duet with Don Henley. Smyth, who subsequently married tennis legend John McEnroe, never released another solo album, but she reunited with Scandal in 2004.
