Formed in 2024 we are always refining our sound hoping our music will connect to the people. The Lakes: The Lakes are a 4-piece Indie-Jangle-Funk band formed in Stockport in 2017 made up of Marcus Foster (rhythm guitar and vocals), Gideon Mcdermot-Swann (lead guitar), Thomas Mo (bass) and Alfie Anderson (drums). The Lakes have released 9 singles on Spotify over the past 6 years and have been gigging around Manchester since a young age. Despite a break for their first year of uni this past winter, The Lakes are back playing together through the summer of 2026, with new music and plenty in the line up!
