Henry Grace comes to Southampton and Heartbreakers on Saturday October 3rd, promoted by Black Star Records, as part of his first ever UK headline tour in support of the new album Things Are Moving All Around Me, with support from Jack Francis.Moving to California at 21, Grace played his first shows in the small clubs and bars of Los Angeles and San Francisco. There he was introduced to the music of artists like Bon Iver and Ray Lamontagne who helped shape his early writing and the songs that would later appear on his 2022 debut album Alive In America. Returning home after five years in the States, his debut album was championed by the likes of BBC Introducing and Americana UK. Roisin O'Connor of The Independent picked Grace as her spotlight artist of the week, while Danielle Perry named him her self-released artist of the month on Absolute Radio after seeing him play at The Great Escape Festival. From 2022-24, Grace would become one of the more genuinely compelling folk-rock artists to emerge from the UK in recent years. Songs drawn from his time in the States brought a unique and much needed edge to the americana genre, while headline shows at London's The Lexington and The Jazz Cafe sold out and led to festival appearances at Wilderness and Glastonbury. His sophomore album, Things Are Moving All Around Me, has been years in the making. Grace and Mystery Jets frontman Blaine Harrison first met at a songwriting retreat at Pennard House in Glastonbury organised by Chris Difford. Stealing away to a quiet church across the road, they wrote their first song together. Back in London, they started working on a new batch of songs Grace had been writing and soon had the early makings of a new album. Demos hinted at a more transatlantic and, most noticeably, band-driven sound and, in October 2024, the band decamped to Middle Farm Studios in Devon to record. "It had wings from the start" he reflects. "Making records is meant to be difficult, and I'm not saying this was easy, but throughout the whole process, it felt like there was a force willing these songs into existence." Released January 2026, Things Are Moving All Around Me received radio support from the likes of BBC Introducing and John Kennedy at Radio X in the UK alongside Nashville's WMOT in the US. The album also received warm reviews from Clash and Under The Radar while being voted 'best of 2026 so far' by The Indie Scene. The release was followed by an in-store tour, European dates and festival appearances at The Long Road and Highways at The Royal Albert Hall alongside a busy touring schedule supporting American artists Dylan LeBlanc, Andrea Von Kampen and Jesse Sykes on their respective UK tours.
