About Louise Attaque

French folk-rock quartet Louise Attaque emerged as one of the most successful new acts of their generation via their award-winning 1997 debut LP. Singer/guitarist Gaëtan Roussel, bassist Robin Feix, drummer Alexandre Margraff, and violinist Arnaud Samuel debuted with a grassroots success that ultimately sold more than two and a half million copies. Their 2000 follow-up, Comme on a Dit, boasted an edgier sound than the debut and proved another commercial success. Roussel and Samuel then recorded briefly as Tarmac, while Feix and Magraff did the same as Ali Dragon. Louise Attaque's third album, 2005's A Plus Tard Crocodile, introduced elements of electronica and reggae. ~ Jason Ankeny
