11-piece orchestral pop sensation MY LIFE STORY, fresh from their first Top 40 hit "12 Reasons Why I Love Her", release the eagerly anticipated follow up, "Sparkle" on Monday 28th October on 2 CDs and 7" vinyl.
Described by impeccably tailored frontman Jake Shillingford as "a song for the world's undiscovered geniuses", "Sparkle" reveals a darker side to the band while still maintaining the customary big, boombastic orchestral onslaught. Long established fans will recognise the song in its original guise as "You Don't Sparkle", a stand out track from their debut album Mornington Crescent". My Life Story were keen to re-record the track after they received an unprecedented response to their live performance of the song on the White Room recently.
CD1 comes in Holographic disc form and features 3 brand new recordings; "Emerald Green", "Megaphone Theology" and "Sparkle" (Concert Hall). CD2 features more new material; "The Garden Fence Affair", "Sparkle" (Jazz Club) and the much sought after "12 Reasons Why I Love Her".
