SOULFUL EVERLASTING MUSIC FULL OF LOVE, FOR THE WORLD"
| Everybody needs to know that in 1999, a LTD copycat band lost a federal court battle with the current LTD members retaining the ownership and rights to the name LTD, Love Togetherness & Devotion. The current original LTD members are Arthur Lorenzo Carnegie/saxes/flute/guitar/vocals, Henry E. Davis/bass/keys/guitar/flute/lead/bg vocals, Carle Wayne Vickers/trumpet/saxes/flute, vocals, Jimmy JD Davis/MD/keys/vocals, Billy Osborne/keys/drums/lead/bg vocals, Johnny McGhee/guitar/vocals, along with new members Andre Ray/lead/bg vocals,Richard Moorings/trombone/keys/leadbg vocals, and good friend Tefere Hazy/drums/vocals, are busy putting the finishing touches on a new soon to be released LTD CD. The beginning of LTD was in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1968. Four young musicians, Jake Riley/trombone/vocals, Arthur Lorenzo Carnegie/saxes/flute/vocals, Carle Wayne Vickers/trumpet/flute saxes/vocals, Abraham (Onion) Miller/saxes/vocals, who had been playing in the world famous duo "Sam & Dave", 15 piece orchestra "The Fantastic Soul Men", along with their good friend Jimmy (JD) Davis/MD/keys/lead/bg vocals, formed their own band named "Love Men ltd. After living in New York City, and playing up and down the eastern seaboard, Toby Wynn/saxes/vocals/ and Jeffrey Osborne/drum/lead/bg vocals joined them. They moved to Los Angeles, where Billy Osborne(Jeffrey's brother)drums/keys/lead/bg vocals, Henry E. Davis/bass/flute/keys/vocals, Celeste Cole/lead/bg vocals/keys, Johnny McGhee/guitar, and Robert Sentienl/congas, began working with them. In 1974, A & M records signed them as LTD, Love Togetherness & Devotion, and soon after great, soulful everlasting music such as, "Love Ballad", "Back in Love again", "Concentrate on you", "Holding on", and many others, proved that LTD has a special blend of soulful, funky, passionate music that all of the world could relate to because it was so real. Jeffrey and Billy Osborne left LTD to pursue their solo careers, they were replaced with Andre Ray/lead/bg vocals/keys, and Leslie Wilson/lead/bg vocals. LTD produced and recorded another great album entitled "Love Magic", which gave the world two more great songs. The soulful "April Love", Andre Ray/lead vocals, and the funky "Kicking Back", Leslie Wilson/lead vocals. Leslie Wilson left to pursue his solo career, and LTD, stayed busy in the music industry by recording for small labels, developing their personal projects, that still proves LTD, never stopped.
