Flavien Berger

Flavien Berger first surprises, then startles, and finally, charms. By playing with words to create sentimental stories, and by testing swirling sounds, the 28 years old self-taught musician quickly became a household name and a breath of fresh air on the French scene. Flavien Berger, who also belongs to French experimental artistic collective “collectif sin~”, has always been interested in fiddling with engines and making sounds. This makes it really hard to label him: he stands beyond styles, and wonderfully manages to structure songs where frenetic moments are followed by long, deep synthetic patches. Bypassing the need for classification, he offered aquatically informed music on his first album “Leviathan”. He forever comes up with different dynamics and takes the listener on a trip through fast ups and darker downs. Listening to all his releases, or seeing him live, will confirm his strength, which is to bring people with him through a deep emotional and imaginative experience.
