Patrick Sky

About Patrick Sky

Patrick Sky was a major voice in the folk music scene of the 1960s. He later became a premiere maker of Uilleann pipes. He was famous for his beautiful ballads, skiffle/bluegrass guitar styling, his wit and his humor. His satirical political content and parodies were both scathing and clever. One of the finest songwriters in the folk/roots traditions. Also famous for being the “Richard” in his friend Joni Mitchell’s folk song “The Last Time I Saw Richard”.
