Misery Index

Misery Index is a grindcore/death metal band originating from Baltimore, MD. The band takes its name from an economic indicator created by Chicago economist Arthur Melvin Okun in the 1970s, calculated by adding the inflation rate to the unemployment rate.
The band runs its own record label, Anarchos Records, on which Misery Index released their debut EP, “Overthrow,” in 2001.
