About Marius Bear

Marius Bear is a Swiss singer-songwriter originally from Appenzell. After winning the SRF 3 Best Talent prize at the Swiss Music Awards 2019, Marius is now also the winner of the Swiss Music Award 2023 in the category Best Breaking Act, for which he was nominated along with Black Sea Dahu and Hermanos Gutiérrez. In addition, Marius was also nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards 2022 in the category Best Swiss Act.

Marius was selected to represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin in May 2022 with his song “Boys Do Cry”, the title track from his second album Boys Do Cry released on 25 March 2022. He sang as the fourth contestant in the First Semi-Final on 10 May 2022 and qualified for the Grand Final. In the Grand Final, held on 14 May, he placed 17th out of 25 finalists.
