However, when I was drawn into the world of anime and Japanese culture I realized why I had been singing all these different songs in my bedroom so diligently for so long. My love for anime opening and ending songs made me want to start my YouTube channel and sing them in my native language. As years went by, I realized I wanted to move forward in that direction and starting to sing in English felt like the right step.</div> <img src="https://pp.userapi.com/c834103/v834103079/17eee2/MB-QZX7LCJM.jpg"> <div style="text-align: center;">I’m adapting anime and vocaloid songs mostly into Russian (right now I’m also practising my English singing) and posting them on my YouTube channel. Song adaptation is not just creating a literal translation, but a meticulous and complex process, which involves: </div><ul><li>creating lyrics that convey the meaning of the song and are written in a way that preserves correct word stresses and the rhythm of the original; </li><li>building vocal melodies that honor the original song and its unique performance, convey the same feelings and emotions; </li><li>making subtitled videos for my listeners’ convenience.</li></ul> <img src="https://pp.userapi.com/c834103/v834103079/17eeec/0E91ZcujTXU.jpg"> <div style="text-align: center;">Singing means living for me. While I don’t have enough experience to compose my own songs just yet, I can convey my feelings to the world with the help of existing songs. I want my listeners to not only feel invested in a song by understanding what it is about, but enjoy high quality covers as well.
