AISEL 409

AISEL is a singer, songwriter, and pianist.

Born and raised to a family of musicians in Baku, Azerbaijan, her life has been marked by music since her early childhood. A graduate of an Azerbaijan State Conservatory, she took part in several major music festivals and events like Caspian Jazz & Blues Festival, Baku International Jazz festival, MuzEnergo Festival of Music Improvisation, Montreux Jazz Festival, Caucasus Jazz Festival, ZHARA Music Festival, New Wave Sochi, F1 Grand Prix Azerbaijan (opening ceremony). In 2018, AISEL represented Azerbaijan in Eurovision Song Contest.

In 2012, she took vocal classes in Switzerland, Geneva at ETM with Alexander Coppaloni (ALENKO). In 2014, she took classes with Deborah J. Carter in Amsterdam, Holland.

Inspired by Jacob Collier, James Blake, and Sevdaliza, AISEL composes music in various genres from soundtracks to electronic music. She has released 3 EP albums (1 studio album, 2 live with the orchestra) and more than 20 singles.
