Micky James is an alternative rock artist hailing from New York. He described his style to Find Your Inner Geek in April 2019:

I pull from so many things, so many different genres. As a songwriter, I think its important to have an open mind and a broad taste. With that exploration, I try and fit it into my genre, to hopefully give it a new twist. There are definite elements of 70’s rock, punk, etc. in my music, but still maintaining pop sensibilities in the writing.
