Laura Groeseneken (born 30 April 1990), known as Sennek, is a Belgian singer and songwriter. Her music fits into soul, electronic and pop. She was chosen to represent Belgium at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “A Matter of Time”.
Groeseneken currently works as as a visual merchandiser and vocal coach. She is partly known for performing as keyboardist for Belgian Ozark Henry. She started uploading original material to YouTube in 2017, sharing live versions of “Kaleidoscope” and “Butterfly”.
Sennek was internally selected and announced by Flemish broadcaster VRT as the Belgian representative at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest on 28 September 2017, becoming the first confirmed artist for Eurovision 2018. On 26 February 2018, it was announced that her entry, titled “A Matter of Time”, would be premiered on March 6. However, the song leaked prior to the official release on March 4.
