Hot Flash Heat Wave 1,270

Hot Flash Heat Wave started as a group of four best friends who were working together in their hometown of Davis, California. The group was composed of Ted Davis (bass and vocals), Adam Abildgaard (guitar and vocals), Nathaniel Blum (guitar and vocals), and Nick Duffy (drums), with Blum having since left the band.

The group first started working together in high school performing at small DIY locales. After graduating they temporarily went their own ways before reuniting in San Francisco where they wrote their debut LP Neapolitan (2015). Thanks to Neapolitan, they garnered some local fame in the Bay Area before riding their popularity and capitalizing with the release of their second project, Soaked.

Their third project, Mood Ring, came four years after forming as a group. Their most recent project, Sportswear, was released in early 2022.
