About Katerine Duska

Katerine Duska is the official Greek selection for the 64th Eurovision Song Contest, held in Tel Aviv. Katerine will represent Greece in the second half of the first Semi-Final on the 14th of May with her song “Better Love”.

“Better Love” was co-written by Katerine herself, London-based Greek artist Leon of Athens and Scottish songwriter David Sneddon (Lana Del Rey, Hurts, Mika). The song was recorded and produced by Phil Cook (Ellie Goulding, Paloma Faith) in London, mixed by James F. Reynolds (BTS, Calvin Harris) and mastered by Bob Ludwig.

Katerine was born and raised in Montreal, Canada and moved to Athens with her family, at the age of 16. In 2013, Katerine rose to indie star status with her hit song “One in a Million” and her cover of Arctic Monkeys’ “Do I Wanna Know”, reaching over 2 million views on YouTube.

She has since then collaborated and shared the stage with LP, Albin Lee Meldau, Tom Baxter, Yasmine Hamdan, Oddisee, Kadebostany and has performed in prestigious venues and festivals across Europe. Her critically acclaimed debut album Embodiment was released in 2016 by Minos EMI / Universal Records and in 2018, her single “Fire Away” was selected for the Canadian NESCAFÉ TV ad campaign.

Her musical style channels the dark sonic timbres of Lykke Li, Banks and Jessie Ware and her trademark soulful rasp has earned her comparisons to Amy Winehouse and Annie Lennox.
