Animals as Leaders

Animals as Leaders is an American instrumental progressive metal band from Washington, D.C. It is composed of guitarists Tosin Abasi and Javier Reyes, along with drummer Matt Garstka. They were formed by Abasi in 2007.

They have been a prominent band within the Djent scene. Prosthetic Records released the band’s self-titled debut album in 2009, as well as their follow-up effort, Weightless, in 2011. They went on to release The Joy of Motion (2014), and The Madness of Many (2016) with Sumerian Records.
