Sixx:A.M.

Sixx:A.M. is a side project of Motley Crue’s bassist Nikki Sixx.
The name of the hard rock band is a clever word play of the members' last names (Nikki Sixx – the bassist; DJ Ashba – the lead guitarist, James Michael – the vocalist, the lead guitarist and the drum programmer).

The band has released 3 studio albums. The Heroin Diaries Soundtracks and This Is Gonna Hurt were both concept albums accompanied by Nikki Sixx’s books. The debut was based on The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star, a collection of Nikki Sixx’s diaries entries which chronicles his struggle with drug dependency between the two Christmas in 1986 and 1987. This is Gonna Hurt was released as a companion to Nikki Sixx’s photograph album with the same title, with the songs and the photographs inspiring each other.
