AKA: Marie Eleonor Serneholt

About Marie Serneholt

Marie Serneholt is a Swedish singer and model who broke into the music industry as a member of A-Teens, a teen pop group that sold nearly ten million albums worldwide. They initially updated ABBA classics for a younger generation and went on to release a total of four albums spanning several hits. Upon the band’s split, Marie went into modeling and stepped away from music, but began recording solo material during 2005. Enjoy the Ride, her debut solo album, was released in March 2006 through Sony BMG; by the end of the year, three of its songs had been released as singles, with its lead “That’s the Way My Heart Goes” becoming a top ten hit. In 2009 and 2012 she participated in the Melodifestivalen song contest with two new original songs. After that, Marie has focused in other ventures and television projects.
