Andre Matos

Andre Matos was Brazilian vocalist, pianist, and composer. He is most known as a founding member of all the bands Viper, Angra, and Shaman, as well as his solo career, featuring friends and fellow musicians from his past.

Well known in the power metal scene, Matos provided guest vocals in numerous songs by many other bands, including his work with Tobias Sammet of Edguy, and his metal opera project Avantasia.

Much to the dismay of fans all over the world, Matos passed away on June 8 of 2019, at the age 47, due to a heart attack.
