About Lesley Gore

Born on the 2nd of May of 1946 in Brooklyn New York.
She became famous at the age of seventeen thanks to her song “It’s My Party,” produced by the legendary producer Quincy Jones. Some of her other famous songs are: “You Don’t Own Me” (now regarded as a feminist anthem), and “Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows.”
She came out as a lesbian in 2004, even though she’d never really hid it. Her life-long partner was Lois Sasson.
Lesley Gore passed away the 16th of February of 2015 in New York.
