About The Wolfgang Press

The Wolfgang Press were formed by Michael Allen and Mark Cox in 1983.

The Wolfgang Press debut album The Burden Of Mules, featured guest contributions from guitarist Andrew Gray who latter soon joined the group.

Their second album Standing Up Straight blended industrial and classical tropes, it also featured the inimitable guest vocals of Elizabeth Fraser on I Am The Crime.

The trio released three more albums Bird Wood Cage, Queer who includes their most famous song A Girl Like You later covered by Tom Jones, and Funky Little Demons in 1994, the year after the trio disbanded.
