Johnny Horton

AKA: John LaGale Horton

About Johnny Horton

Though he is better remembered today for his historical songs like “Sink the Bismarck” or The Battle of New Orleans, Johnny Horton was one of the best and most popular honky-tonk singers of the 1950s. Though he died in a car crash in 1960, his music influenced future musicians through the next 3 decades.
