Joe Cocker (1944–2014) was an English singer-songwriter known for his unique bluesy voice and energetic performances. He rose to fame in the 1960s with his cover of The Beatles‘ “With a Little Help from My Friends,” which became an anthem of the Woodstock generation. Cocker had a successful career spanning five decades, with hits such as “Up Where We Belong” and “You Are So Beautiful.” He was known for his gravelly voice, distinctive stage presence, and emotive interpretations of songs. Cocker passed away in 2014 at the age of 70.
