Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (October 13, 1948 – August 16, 1997) was born in Faisalabad, Pakistan. The Pakistani singer, who is considered one of the greatest performers of the devotional Sufi music known as Qawwali. Qawwali is simply characterised as simple melodies, forceful rhythms, and energetic improvisations that encourage a state of euphoria in the listener known as ‘Wajd’.
