British pop singer-songwriter Plested scored a massive streaming hit with 2018’s “Worthy of You.” He also cowrote Lewis Capaldi’s 2019 UK chart-topper “Before You Go.” • Phil Plested began his musical journey as co-lead vocalist of the pop-rock band Chasing Grace. In 2015, the group issued their only album, Nowhere Near Old Enough. • While with Chasing Grace, Plested was discovered by superproducer Naughty Boy (Emeli Sandé, Sam Smith), who helped the newcomer hone his songwriting. Shortly after the band broke up, Plested cowrote Little Mix’s 2016 Brit Awards–nominated “Touch.” • In 2018, Plested inked a deal with Atlantic Records and released his debut EP, First & Foremost.
