In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The idea for Newmoon came from an Elliott Smith song. Even before we were a band we knew it would be called Newmoon. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Mogwai, Young Team Slowdive, Souvlaki The Cure, Pornography Thick layers of guitars always felt natural to us, and are kind of our main thing. We're very much influenced by some of the all time great shoegaze, postrock and alternative bands, past and present. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Fading Phase” ‘Fading Phase’ is a tantalising glimpse of our new album. It weaves a sonic tapestry that harks back to the band’s roots. Blending airy vocals with lush guitars, to create an immersive sound that sweeps listeners off their feet. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When we first started Newmoon we never could have thought we'd be releasing records or even touring. So being on our third album and still being able to play shows abroad is still very special to us. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There's loads of bands we'd still love to tour with and new places we want to see and play. But we'll keep them secret for now as to not jinx them.
