About Party Nails
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 11 my dad started guitar lessons and practiced his pentatonic scales along to Billy Bragg records. The jealousy became unbearable so I asked him to teach me what he knew. I played those first position chords like my life depended on it. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alex Winston, Bingo! This album hit me right when I needed it. It's the perfect blend of personal essay, classic songwriting, earnestness, performance, pop, folk and rock. I was looking for permission to love these things, together, in 2024, and this album served it. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “First Responder (sped up version)” This song started as a country song and became a big fun pop thing. It's sad and funny all at the same time, and striking a balance between those two things is something I've been trying to do for a very long time. I'm very proud of this song.
