Wanderlust Festival 2027

It's what we've all been waiting for.. WANDERLUST IS BACK! Southampton's multi-venue festival Wanderlust returns for its FOURTH year with fiercely independent English songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Billy Nomates announced as the first headliner! Billy Nomates, who's established herself as one of the UK's most vital artists, with her acclaimed blend of post-punk, indie rock and fearless songwriting, leads the line up announcement. The first wave continues with GANS who bring a fierce combination of noise, punk and alternative rock, delivering a live show packed with intensity and attitude. TOOTH, who are quickly establishing themselves as one of the most exciting new names in the UK. Little Grandad fuse Americana, alt-country and indie influences into a rich and heartfelt sound, while Lucia & The Best Boys pair grunge-inspired guitars with bold pop hooks and captivating vocals. 1000 Rabbits are an exciting new force in off-kilter art-pop, blending expressive violin, playful synths, angular guitars, restless drums and magnetic vocals. Paper Hats showcase melodic indie songwriting with a sharp modern edge, Telekura explore inventive sonic landscapes that blur the boundaries of alternative music, and Your Mates Ex bring their infectious hooks, relatable lyricism and undeniable live energy. Taking place over Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd May 2027, Wanderlust is Southampton's multi-venue celebration of emerging music, spanning many genres. Taking over Heartbreakers, The Joiners and The 1865, the festival transforms the city into a hub for music discovery, bringing together exciting new artists from across the UK and beyond. Presented by South Coast promoters Psych, Wanderlust champions grassroots music culture and the venues that help it thrive. With audiences free to move between venues throughout the weekend, the festival offers a unique opportunity to experience music in 3 different sized venues! SoYoung Magazine: "That's Wanderlust. Not a festival built on scale, but on discovery. Two days spent bouncing between rooms, chasing recommendations and accidentally finding your next favourite band. Long may it stay that way." DIY Magazine: "It seems that festival season kicks off earlier and earlier these days, but who are we to complain when the lineups are this good?" The Indie Scene: "Wanderlust, true to the name, offered a tonic universal, sating the wandering spirit in all of us. It nourished just as much as it exhausted - and got us riled up to do it all again next year." Hard of Hearing: "A must-attend festival in the music calendar, that's truly worthy of a trip to the south-coast." Erazer: "As a festival that isn't afraid to push it to the limit and book musicians defying genres, Wanderlust deserves to get bigger and bigger. By spreading the music across the city, it gives fans the chance to explore the grassroots venues that make bands who they are." InCommon: "There felt like a real sense of community in and around the venues It's something that has built year on year so far. The team at Psych Ltd venue staff and volunteers should be thanked and congratulated for their efforts." Louder Than War: "Like all the best festivals, the joy is in the discovery of new favourites rather than worship of the old guard, and Psych's booking policy creates a very well-curated arena to find your next loves."
