Cosys Ex collective and Heen

Cosys Ex is a UK based music collective merging traditional roots influences from their respective diasporas. Blending Celtic melodies, Gaelic, English and Yoruba songs, with fiddle, guitar and percussion all drawing from and paying homage to various traditions, in new arrangements and compositions made for dancing. Heen: Where traditional music meets contemporary production, Heen is a musical project paying homage to the lowland Scottish region of Dumfries & Galloway. Taking a collection of original tune compositions inspired by the people and places of D&G, Heen merges these melodies with granular textures and shuddering bass to produce a sound that interrogates the essence of traditional music.
