It is underground, hidden inside Chinatown, and most people have no idea it exists. Descend into The Speakeasy and the city above disappears. Smooth cocktails. Low lighting. A room that feels like 1920s San Francisco never left. Then the lights drop and the show begins. Sheng Wang, Taylor Tomlinson and Ali Wong have all performed on this stage. Comics with Netflix, HBO and Amazon specials show up here to do what they love in a room that holds 90 people. Lineups are unannounced. You never know who is going to walk out. The Setup has been producing stand-up comedy in San Francisco for over ten years. Featured on SF Weekly and the Secret San Francisco Network. Spots go fast. Book yours now.
