namesbliss

The MOBO-nominated rapper arrived in the UK alt-rap conversation with his own dictionary: A self-styled blend of Neo-Grime and Jazz-Rap that puts raw grime energy and the measured cool of jazz in the same room. The sound traces back to his upbringing in Kilburn, where his older brother's jazz records and post-church afternoons with Miles Davis sat alongside a growing love of East Coast storytellers like Nas and Noname and UK pioneers Kano and George the Poet. Now, namesbliss releases his forthcoming album Where's Bliss?. It carries a nostalgic pull, the feeling of hearing something new that also reminds you of something you grew up loving. After sell out back-to-back headline dates and festival appearances, we’re bringing namesbliss to Islington Assembly Hall. An artist who has earned every room he has walked into, namesbliss is not emerging so much as he is arriving.
