FEFF

Profile:

"FEFF" was a Post-Grunge/Hard Rock (sometimes also referred to as Alt-Metal) band that was founded in the Summer of 2000 by brothers Rob and Dan Pfeffer.

They released a number of Demos online (on sites like mp3.com) as a duo, with Rob handling Guitar and Vocals, and Dan handling Drums and Bass. After adding a Bassist and Drummer in late 2002, they quickly gained a following in the NY area for having "energetic live shows" and continued to make a name for themselves before releasing a S/T EP in 2004 which they claim to have sold all 3000 copies of.

After replacing their previous drummer with Brian Struse in June 2005, FEFF would once again go into the studio to record their first (and only) album "Question the Motive" which was released on the 20th of October 2006. The album supposedly sold well-enough to make FEFF one of the "12 Biggest Unsigned Bands In The US" and the band even managed to get heavy radio play on both XM Radio Channel 52 and The Howard Stern Show (having a long run as the most requested and played band on the former) while also touring the US in support of the aforementioned "Question the Motive".

After replacing drummer Brian Struse in December 2007 for Pat Crotty, the band continued to tour into 2008 and 2009 (replacing Bassist Adam James with Eric Bergman somewhere in-between) and even talked about a New EP being "almost finished" on April 24th, 2009, playing songs from it at their shows (though the EP seems to have never been finished).

2009 would be the band's last full year as FEFF as after playing a few shows in 2010 and officially ending after their last show on February 27th, 2010, they announced on the 19th of May that "FEFF is a thing of the past" and changed their name to "Untapped" before posting a few new songs onto MySpace and asking people to continue to "Spread The Word" about the band. This wouldn't matter however as after performing one show on August 14th to "break in the new name and some new songs" and happily posting about it the next day, the band's remaining social media pages have been completely dormant with the Facebook Page reading "In a coma. Could be years."

It is unknown if any of the band's members have went on to be in any other bands, except for Rob Pfeffer who has portrayed Axl Rose as the lead vocalist for the NYC Guns N' Roses tribute-band "Appetite For Destruction" since their formation in 2010.
